Central United will have a guest Preacher, Deborah (Debz) Ferber for 6 weeks. Debz was born in Windsor, Ontario, spent teenage years in Ruthven, went to Tyndale University College and Seminary in Toronto (graduating with a Bachelor's of Religious Education 2012 and an MDiv 2016).
Through a series of events (which some say are miraculous), she came to know the United Church. Debz has spent time in various denominations helping her to have a ecumenical and inter-faith approach. She has a heart for social justice, loving those on the margins, and bringing the church to the people rather than the people to church. She is journeying with the United Church of Canada and partaking in the ordination process.

We thank Dan Bryant and Bob Cameron for providing instructions and guidance for the months of September and October titled "Living the Psalms Life".
The Downtown Windsor BIA Youtube channel has two short videos of Central United Church and is included here. They present a short tour of our sanctuary and now 116-year-old building at 628 Ouellette.
Dan was spearheading a series of musical events at Central United Church called "Doors Open" at the time. It looks like the program was a success as 10 years on, the doors are still open.
